In the novel Mo Wuyue was very tempted to eat her soul but instead he will always use that scene to tease Jun Jiu lol

Translation:
4:44 The two of you seem to be in a hurry, what seem to be the problem?
5:17 Jun Jiu, have you forgotten about the dirty deeds you have done?
5:27 You are slutty, a woman with two men, the two master of Yun family are both bewitched by you, isnt that right?
5:50 What are you all blocking the way for? Move out of the way!
6:10 How ridiculous, you are merely a teacher, what rights do you have to prevent me from attending the class?
7:36 So it resulted in such a big commotion. however I have resolved it already
7:54 Sister Jiu doesnt need your protection, just go away!
8.37 How dare you! (Literal translation is "being unreasonable at the moment" In other words he is saying she is being ridiculous and unreasonable)

Ahh the more those Yunxue fights against Jun Jiu the more she will suffer later on

vio • 2 years ago

does her punishment come when shes still in that school or when they graduate? I cant wait to see what she does to punish her xD

Dase • 2 years ago

They dont really graduate, instead there will be a selection of 5 candidates to go onto the 5 academies, that are more powerful than the Tianzong academy. There will be constant plots made by both against Jun Jiu in the next few episodes, Yunxue gets to go to one, crown prince doesnt

The spoiler I made a while back will come into play, there were too many information and so you didnt read it :) regarding Jun Jiu's father's past

Jun Jiu heals the empress and allows her to bear child again (she isnt the crown prince's biological mother)

Crown Prince isnt as gentle or kind as he shows others, his actions in the past were revealed and his position was abolished and demoted to a prince then later on a commoner but as a "reward" he is forced to marry Yunxue, after.... Jun Jiu does something to his dingdongs

Yunxue forced to marry the crown prince but she uses Jun Jiu's father's loyalists to assassinate the crown prince after she takes over Jun Jiu's identity, when Jun Jiu eradicates Jun family, little does she know she is being used as a pawn by Jun Jiu AND her father's ex army loyalists but she is like a cockroach, survives against all odds, takes a while before she dies

Jun Jiu's loyalists very powerful group, loyal to Jun Jiu's father, doesnt care about the empire or emperor lol, they have infiltrated all the academies and government ever since they "disbanded" serves to protect Jun Jiu with their lives but she doesnt care about them, they eventually find out that Yunxue is a fake (because of Jun Jiu's appearance and her actions)

vio • 2 years ago

bah, she got let off to easily. I would have thought she'd do something evil in return for all the trouble Yunxue has caused. Evil as in destroying her ability to fight/cultivate and forcing her to work in a hoe house for the rest of her life serving the worst of the worst. Instead she gets off lightly with Mr limp dick.... lol

Dase • 2 years ago

lol as I mentioned before, the author loves to make female antagonists live longer and do more harm than male antagonists
think there are six or seven more of these types later on lol
Yeah Yunxue lives for a while, stronger than the Tianzong academy are the five academies, each academy specialises in different fields, all female academy, medicine pill, sword, mostly male strong muscle "roughnecks barbarian" and last one I forgot, Jun Jiu goes to the barbarian one :P, then above these academy is the Imperial House, which overlooks the entire lower realm, Yunxue lasts until the Imperial House arc

But to give you some satisfaction, from the novel:

The sword explodes through Jun Yunxue's head, the sword qi could not be blocked, it then continued towards towards Hong Ying, blasting her as her heart bursts out with blood. Hong Ying's face was instantly white, she couldn't believe how Jun Jiu could be so strong all of a sudden. Is it the formation? How will she break the formation?
Bang!
Jun Yunxue fell heavily to the ground, blood spilled out of her head, quickly stained her whole face. A motionless, human and ghostly mutilated body that slowly became cold. Having saying that, death indeed brings closure

lol even though its unrelated, that last part reminded me of a old video
www .youtube. com /watch?v=ovsVU6mktOw

Dase • 2 years ago

lol Yunxue does suffer a lot as she climbs through her way to the top of the lower realm, one would think she would be smart enough to change her ways but nope, still continues on, and funnily enough she is abused by other people mostly, Jun Jiu's final attack is likened to putting down an animal that is suffering in pain lol

Well they did a piss poor job at the "protection" they provided Jun Jiu with.

Dase • 2 years ago

They werent aware that the original Jun Jiu was in trouble, since they thought she was with her family it would be safe, not to mention the former emperor were supposed to be her guardian, little did they know that the former emperor left her with the Jun family and disappeared.
Each year the former army members would send birthday gifts to Jun Jiu, these gifts surpasses the value and rarity of even the emperor's family most valuable items, these gifts were "kept" in a vault for Jun Jiu, in case those former army members came to ask question, but they were siphoning a little at a time. It was these gifts that made the Jun family greedy and jealous of Jun Jiu ironically. In later episodes you will see they find out, but that is after Jun Jiu eradicates the Jun family leaving Yunxue and the other Jun cousin (not counting Jun Jiu) as the only Jun family members left also the reason why they were not around Jun Jiu was because they were all trying to investigate the disappearance of Jun Jiu's parents, by staying away is also to protect her since their presence might lead the enemy even more powerful than them to find and kill Jun Jun
But you will see all that soon

*sigh* a one trick pony. Can't she use anything besides cheap gossip? And why does everyone know and believe everything after only a day? Is Chinese culture truly so quick to judge on words alone?

Aerlis Ambrosius • 2 years ago

Is our culture any different? Its human nature, stupidity abounds. Consider the Twitter rage mobs and moral majority anytime someone expresses an opinion that doesn't fall in line with the woke sjw agenda du jour or the religion of climate change. Anyone who speaks truth will be publicly pilloried, their social media accounts shut down, rabid mobs of alphabet brownshirts outside their house and often lose their jobs, sometimes even banks will shut down their merchant accounts.

I wonder that too smh.

not fair

This academy seems like a waste of time tbh

Dase • 2 years ago

Actually it is a very prestigious academy and also in order to the Five Great academies, you need to attend this one to be able to obtain a selection placing, and there's only 5 placings available (cant remember if it is once every year or a few
years)
Of course the usual politics within and outside the academy comes to play

In answeringLuke W , you forgot that Jun Yunxue comes from the Jun family which is very influential within the empire, so her words along with the deputy academy master carries great weight in comparing with an already well-known fact that Jun Jiu's reputation as a weak and useless person who also broke the engagement between Yunxue and the crown prince, they would naturally believe those rumors and gossip, not to mention Yunxue has more lapdogs than Jun Jiu and is willing to bribe them, and no Yunxue only knows this trick, learned from her mother
It doesnt help that the crown prince also bumbled into the gossip

Both will eventually suffer, the crown prince soon, while Yunxue is like a cockroach that can survives even a nuclear bombing. but she will die.... eventually

I think I get why the females last longer than males. I think it’s more about torturing them in more ways than one so that their death will spectacular, since they are the ones who seem to pursue her the most(could be wrong) but it’s understandable. Prolonged torture is tiresome but I get it nonetheless. The greater the climb, the harder the fall.

Dase • 1 year ago

Yes and no. Personally I think it is just the author's feeling about how to portray female villains, Jun Jiu will always say:
- "She isnt worth killing by my hands"

- "Killing her will stain my hands"
- "Letting her live longer will serve to remind her of the shame she has to live with"
- "She cant hurt me"
and the part you mentioned about the greater the climb and harder the fall

But the villain will always inflict pain on her friends and even causing some of their deaths, even more than all the male villains. Male villains are often, given a quick death lol Not all men are after her, only less than a handful, but she remains true to the guy he rescues at the beginning of the series

The other two
one is the split soul/clone of a villain, the other well you have seen already but alas he couldnt make it to the Middle Realm, so their cultivation wasnt that great, the higher the cultivation level, the longer you will live but he grew of reaaaaaally old age with the Emeritus Emperor in the God Realm and because she and her husband are so powerful they could change how they will be reincarnated to a certain extent, not fully mind you

AuroraMooon • 1 year ago

That’s a shame though, I prefer Tan Yun’s way of doing things. Off with their heads as the queen of hearts likes to say. It’s pointless to give someone so many chance torture or no torture. Another reason I sometimes get annoyed with Ling Dong, always forgiving the enemy without the torture.

Dase • 1 year ago

For me these are the only two flaws of this series, the different treatment of male and female villains, it doesnt really affect the novel that much, just the reasoning behind letting the female villain goes, kind of grows weak, the other is the loooooooooooooooong courtship of various couples lol

While Against the Sky Supreme, I didnt like the "millions and billions of years" take to cultivate when he gets more and more powerful and of course harem, I dont really see the point of him getting so much wives lol, My goodness talk about loyalty there, and how about the poor women, cant they have multiple husbands as well? :P

AuroraMooon • 1 year ago

Lol I’m not a fan of harems but since most of the women are strong, I end up tolerating it. I think having more than 1 it is enough but 4 is excessive let alone 20. Realistically speaking harems were normal during that time so I excuse it but my brain can’t take more than 10 wives having to remember them and their lives.
In my country there’s a tribe that still practices polygamy, another reason why I don’t like it.
Funnily enough I’ve read books with ‘reverse harems’, probably 3 different series, one I did not finish because of the girl’s past, the other I finished but did not like the ending even though I enjoyed most of it. The last one I finished it and hated myself for even reading it.

Dase • 1 year ago

I dont mind harem if they are relevant to the story and not just used as a plot device, like some donghua which the mc loses a fight, girlfriend or wife is lost either because they were taken away by someone, or they got lost, then the mc finds another girl, marries and this is cycled through the novel

Tan Yun ends up with 17 wives lol

Doupo Cangqiong (Battle through the Heavens) are one of the few harem donghua I like lol

AuroraMooon • 1 year ago

That’s a lot of power to even have the slightest influence on one’s fate. I hope this continues and isn’t complete at ep. 60
